Bai Shao ( White Peony Root ) has been a part of traditional Chinese medicine for at least 1,500 years.
It is sour, slightly cold and nontoxic. It acts on the liver and spleen channels.
WHY IT'S USED: Bai Shao ( White Peony Root ) is good for relieving pain, nourishing blood, softening liver, arresting sweating and maintaining
nutrients. It facilitates blood circulation, eases the tension of the interior,
and removes malignant blood stasis and fluid-retension.
It is used for treatment of pain in the ribs,
abnormal heat on one side of the face due to nutrient deficiency,
night sweats, cold sweats, and abdomminal pain due to diarrhea.
Also it is used for treating all sorts of feminine diseases,
such as leukorrhagia,irregular menstruation and excessive menstruation.
Addtionally, it eliminates swelling and carbuncle.
COMMENTS AND CAUTIONS: Do not use it if you
have loose bowels due to cold. It is also not good for diseases due to a lack of energy in the spleen.
It is incompatible with the herb Lihu.
Dosage: 6 to 15 grams
